Green infrastructure and open environments: The all London green grid. Supplementary planning guidance, was published by the Mayor of London in March 2012. In relation to Joint Development Plan Documents, it suggests that: ‘Planning guidance encourages local authorities to explore and exploit opportunities for joint working on core strategies and other development plan documents. This is particularly appropriate where spatial planning issues cover larger areas and cross individual local authority political and administrative boundaries including those for urban infrastructure and green infrastructure.’
